Let’s Talk Divorce: Support and Healing After Separation

Divorce can be one of the most challenging experiences a person will go through. It’s not just a legal process; it’s an emotional upheaval that can leave you feeling lost, overwhelmed, and uncertain about the future. Ending a marriage shakes the foundation of your life, your identity, your routines, your relationships, and even your sense of self.

I know this personally. I have been through a divorce, and I understand the mix of grief, relief, anger, guilt, and fear that comes with it. For a long time, I struggled silently, thinking I had to handle everything on my own. I realized that connecting with others who truly understand what you are going through is one of the most powerful ways to begin healing.

Divorce can leave us feeling isolated. Friends may offer advice, but they may not fully understand the complexity of the emotions involved. Society often minimizes the pain, as if moving on quickly is the goal. The reality is that healing takes time, support, and space to process everything that comes with this life transition.

This is why I am creating Let’s Talk Divorce, a support group designed for people navigating the aftermath of separation. The group is a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share your experience, express your emotions, and learn tools to cope with the challenges of divorce. Together, we will discuss strategies for managing stress, rebuilding confidence, and finding your footing in this new chapter of life.

The group will be led by me, Michelle Pintado, LCSW, and will start on Tuesday, March 31 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. It will run for 6 to 8 weeks, giving participants a consistent, supportive community to rely on during this difficult time.

Divorce is hard, but you do not have to go through it alone. By sharing, connecting, and learning together, we can transform a period of loss into a journey of growth, self-discovery, and resilience. If you are interested in joining, Let’s Talk Divorce or want more information, please reach out. There is support, understanding, and hope waiting for you.
