Who We Are

Open Door Talk was founded on faith, purpose, and a calling to serve others. Our story began with a simple belief: that everyone deserves a place where they can feel heard, find hope, and begin to heal. Inspired by Matthew 7:7 - “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. Open Door Talk was created to be just that: an open door to meaningful conversation, healing, and growth. Today, our practice is grounded in Love, Joy, and Peace and committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. While faith is central to who we are, we welcome individuals from all backgrounds and offer both traditional counseling and faith-integrated Christian counseling for those who desire it.

Our Mission

To heal trauma and to teach evidence-based skills for a better life and a better you.

At Open Door Talk, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care that promotes healing, growth, and restoration. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.

Our Vision

To create communities where healing, connection, and emotional wellness are accessible to everyone.

We envision a future where mental health support extends beyond the counseling office. Through compassionate care and meaningful community partnerships, we strive to strengthen individuals and families, expand access to support, and create lasting positive change.

Our Values

Our values of Love, Joy, and Peace are inspired by the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and shape the way we care for our clients, support our team, and engage with our community. We are committed to ethical, evidence-based counseling that supports the whole person. For those who desire it, we also offer faith-integrated Christian counseling that thoughtfully brings together professional excellence and biblical truth. These values are more than words; they are the foundation of who we are and how we serve. We believe healing begins in a space where people are met with love, encouraged with joy, and guided toward peace.

Peace

We support emotional healing, balance, and restoration, helping individuals find greater peace within themselves and their relationships.

Love

We lead with compassion, acceptance, and genuine care, creating a space where every person feels valued and respected.

joy

We cultivate hope, resilience, and purposeful living, encouraging our clients to recognize possibility even in difficult seasons.

Meet the Founder

Michelle Pintado, LCSW

Open Door Talk was born from Michelle’s own sense of calling to serve others. As a Christian, she believes God led her to Georgia in 2017, setting the foundation for what would eventually become Open Door Talk.

When searching for a name for the practice, Matthew 7:7 came to mind: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” That verse became the inspiration behind Open Door Talk and its vision of creating a space where people can walk through an open door to find hope, healing, and meaningful conversation.

Michelle is passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, accepted, and empowered to grow. Her commitment to both faith and clinical excellence continues to shape the heart of Open Door Talk and the way the practice serves its clients and community.
