Upcoming DBT Skills Class
Summer Session: Distress Tolerance
This summer, we’ll be diving into the Distress Tolerance module in DBT Skills Class — a powerful set of skills designed to help teens manage overwhelming emotions, stressful situations, and crisis moments without making things worse. Participants will learn practical strategies for surviving emotional storms, reducing impulsive reactions, tolerating difficult feelings, and building resilience during high-stress situations. Skills include mindfulness, self-soothing, distraction techniques, radical acceptance, and healthy ways to cope when emotions feel intense. Distress Tolerance helps people move from reacting impulsively to responding effectively, even in life’s hardest moments.
Start Date:
June 2, 2026
Held weekly in a supportive group setting.
